Hi, I'm Darci. Born and raised in Edmonton, I have always loved going to Whyte Avenue. My mother moved to Edmonton in 1956 to take her first job at the Royal Bank as a teller on Whyte Avenue. She shared some of her memories of the area which in turn sparked my interest in the history of Old Scona.
Tours run May 4th - September 30th Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Meeting at 1:00 p.m. Address 8404 -102 st NW Edmonton (in the parking lot across Gateway Blvd east of the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market). Stopping in at MKT Fresh food/beer market (historical train station), Chianti's (historical post office) and other stops along the way. Reservations need to be made online 24 hours in advance - no walk-ups and please be on time.

The tour will still take place if it rains. Please bring umbrellas and appropriate clothing.
Humans only please. Service animals are allowed.
We will be stopping at five eateries along our tour. They will be sample sizes not meals however your stomach will be satisfied by the end of the tour. Please advise if you have any dietary restrictions. Please bring bottled water as beverages are not included.
The walk will be roughly 2-3 kms in length.
There is parking at 83 avenue and 102 street. Parking lot east of the Farmer's Market building. The cost is $7.00
Yes. We can accommodate up to 10 people.
Yes. There will be a stop at Nuttea (located in the basement of the Old Strathcona Hotel), however you may want to bring a bottle of water for the rest of the tour as well.
